Consultation
Next Steps and Registering an Interest
SSE Renewables and RWE npower renewables has welcomed confirmation by the Infrastructure Planning Commission (IPC) on 19 December 2011 that it has accepted the application for Galloper Wind Farm (GWF). "Acceptance" of the application means that a decision-making process, approximately 9 months in length, now commences before the relevant Secretary of State is asked to make a decision on whether the scheme should be approved.
We have now reached the PRE-EXAMINATION stage.
The defined registration period, where members of the public can register their interest, and if they wish to, make formal representations to the IPC about our application has now closed. The registration period lasted from 23 January 2012 to 24 February 2012.
All relevant representations are now available on the IPC website. There will then be 21 days to comment on these by submitting online or writing to the IPC. Comments will then be published back onto the IPC website.
To help answer any questions about our final application during the registration period, and the changes we made following our consultation in June/July 2011, we hosted a series of information panels about our final submitted proposals at Sizewell Beach Cafe on Friday 3 February 2012 (4.00pm - 8.00pm) and Saturday 4 February 2012 (10.00am - 2.00pm). The information panels are now available to download.
The events provided an opportunity to speak to members of the project team and to clarify or put any questions forward in response to the application documents. Please note that once a project is accepted, as GWF now is, "material" changes are not permitted to the scheme proposals.
